When was the last time you received an actual letter?
Not a notice or advertisement, but a real, hand-addressed piece of mail from someone who enjoyed the same things you do.
When I was growing up as an only child, books and letters were my entire world. At one point, I had as many as 100 pen pals scattered across the globe!
I can still recall the pure magic of those afternoons: straining to hear the distant sounds of the postman's motorcycle, running to the gate, and savouring the textured feel of an envelope that had traveled across the world just for me. My most vivid memory is of a letter than arrived in the rain, from my best pal in the USA. (Connecticut to be exact!)
Inside, there was always a world to unpack—thoughtful words, stickers, and tiny paper treasures that brought the world closer to my doorstep.
I created the Snail Mail club,Letters along the Line, to bring that exact feeling of childlike wonder back into our beautifully busy modern lives, for people who enjoy traveling in England, Scotland and Wales.
Every month, a new envelope will land in your post box, inviting you to step back into the analogue world, slow down, and slip away on a quiet journey.
Together, we will board a British train (figuratively speaking!) and wander together through the hidden cobblestones, ancient woodlands, and misty coastal paths of the United Kingdom. (This will be written by me, about places I've visited in the UK, and not by AI!)
Just like the pen pal letters of our childhoods, every Letters Along the Line envelope will be lovingly packed with tactile surprises—exclusive postcards, artist-designed stickers, recipes for heirloom bakes, instructions for local craft projects... and more!
