Best Hotels within 30 minutes from London Heathrow Airport

Looking for a place to stay close to London Heathrow? These are the best hotels within 30 minutes of London Heathrow Airport.

The bedroom at Bingham Riverhosue in Richmond.

Chiswick

Clayton Hotel Chiswick

Small Bedroom at Clayton Hotel Chiswick.

I was very satisfied with Clayton Hotel Chiswick- so much so that I've stayed there 3x!

It's not the most stylish of hotels- think of it as a business hotel- but it's very functional:

  • rooms have good air-conditioning!
  • there are lifts!
  • close to restaurants, shops, cafes
  • close to the tube
  • good price (on average I paid about £100 per night- the cheapest on this list)

Richmond

Bingham Riverhouse

The view from the breakfast room at Bingham Riverhouse.

I had high hopes for Bingham Riverhouse, having read about it in a number of publications, but was disappointed. (Click through for the complete review.) The best thing was the breakfast table and lounge (shown above), which were beautiful. (The rooms were not as good-lookging but were comfortable.)

Other than that, it was pretty unmemorable, primarily due to a lack of any welcoming feeling. It felt like (an expensive) bed for the night, with no personality.

Note: there is no lift in the property.

Wimbledon

Hotel Du Vin Cannizaro House

The lobby of Hotel du vin Wimbledon.

Hotel Du Vin Cannizaro House is where my friend's parents always stay when visiting the UK so I thought I'd give it a try despite the fact that it has a lower Google rating than I normally go for. (4.0 at the time of writing.)

The stay wasn't perfect- the wifi wasn't working in our room, for one!- but I enjoyed it primarily due to its location by the park (next door) and Wimbledon Village. Do note it is a little out of Wimbledon Village (about 5-10 min walk) and a bit far from public transport.

The property has lifts and the rooms are comfortably air-conditioned.

Hampton Court

The Mitre Hotel, Hampton Court

The River at Hampton Court.

The Mitre Hotel has always been the most expensive option (by a £100+!) when I've checked so I've not stayed here before.

Any questions about where to stay near Heathrow Hotel? Let me know in the comments!
